Welcome to my blog!  Here I will share about my life journey, yoga and mental health. In 2006 I officially became hooked on yoga. I have struggled with anxiety, depression and chronic pain. I know how debilitating it can be.  Physical pain, emotional pain, panic, fear, sadness, self doubt.  All more familiar than I care to admit, but here I am!

That particular yoga class didn’t really delve deeper than physical postures. The breath was never even mentioned.  My curiosity to learn more, has kept me busy ever since. In my younger years, I was like most new students – wanting to excel at yoga!  I was held back in the beginner class because my mobility was so limited at the time.  I practiced and practiced so I could become a ‘better’ yogi. Little did I know at the time that I was completely missing the mark.  When I found therapeutic yoga, I felt this huge weight lifted off my shoulders.  I was given permission to let go.  To do less.  There was no where to get to!  I had this resounding knowing in my body and soul that I had found the practice I needed.

My hope is that what I have learned in combination with my personal  experiences will reach someone that may be in need.  I look forward to sharing information on two of my favourite topics – Yoga and mental health.  Know that you are not alone.  Know that you are loved.  Know that you can use me as a resource.  Reach out, I’d love to hear from you.
